Introduction to Meditation (Online)

Time:    Thursday evenings (7:00-8:30pm), Oct. 22, 29, Nov. 5, 12, 19

Are you interested in how to start a meditation practice? Want to learn more about the Nalandabodhi Practice Path? Need to reduce stress and bring more calm into your life? Nalandabodhi Vancouver is offering the first of two courses in our Entry to Nalandabodhi Meditation Series.

The first course, Introduction to Meditation, consists of five 1.5-hour classes, and introduces the intention, purpose and practice of calm-abiding meditation as well as analytical meditation. This course will also include chapters from Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche‘s Rebel Buddha as a guide for the study of some Buddhist tenets and the practice of meditation.

Introduction to Meditation also serves as a basis for the second course, Discovering Oneself, which focuses not only on mindfulness but also the importance of ‘bodyfulness.’ In the series, it is our hope that students come away with a deeper meditation practice and a better understanding of themselves so that they can engage the world with greater skill. 

Please note: This course will be limited to 10 students.
