Deepening the Calm Abiding Experience – online meditation sessions
Thursdays: March 25, April 1, April 8, and April 15
Join us for four Thursdays to deepen our experience of calm abiding. This set of group meditation sessions is a chance to practice calm abiding meditation with longer sitting sessions and guided meditation. The purpose of these classes is to provide support for your home meditation practice and to further your calm abiding experience through group silent sitting, guided meditation and optional Q and A.
The classes are one hour long (7-8 pm) with a short talk. There will be a 5 minute meditation at the beginning of class, a presentation and then 30 minutes of guided meditation aimed at deepening the calm abiding experience. At 8 pm, people can sign off or stay on for an optional 20 minute Question and Answer session.
These sessions complement the Intro to Meditation course and the Knowing Oneself course — there is no prerequisite necessary. Comfortable clothing and a chair or meditation cushion is recommended.
