Everyone is welcome to attend meditation sessions, study groups, weedend programs, and special occasions that are open to the public. Formal membership is not required to participate at Nalandabodhi.
After attending classes and practices — and familiarizing yourself with our centre — you may wish to deepen your connection by becoming a Nalandabodhi member. In doing so, you will support both Nalandabodhi and your own dharma journey. Before becoming a member, we ask you to consider your commitment to these three paths.
Members are encouraged to engage in a daily meditation practice with guidance from a Practice Instructor, an experienced practitioner and personal mentor who can suggest classes and readings to strengthen your meditation practice.
Nalandabodhi’s study path provides a comprehensive introduction to Buddhism to enhance your understanding of the teachings. Members are encouraged to engage in the curriculum developed by our teacher, Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche.
Classes and dharma programs at Nalandabodhi are run by volunteers. Maitrivana, our centre in Vancouver, is tended and maintained by participants. Members are encouraged to make a meaningful commitment to the community — and to enjoy contact with fellow practitioners!
Please contact the Membership Coordinator at nbvmembership@gmail.com to discuss becoming a Nalandabodhi member. Membership provides access to study and practice opportunities, including:
Nalandabodhi members who are in good standing and are formal students of Rinpoche are invited to attend the annual sangha retreat.
