“Meditation is the first place where we meet our mind directly, where we can transform the habitual tendencies that cause us to suffer … Meditation ignites the process of change.” — Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, 2016
Please join us on Sunday, Nov. 15 for a “Day of Noble Silence,” onsite at Maitrivana (9:30 am – 4 pm).
We will practice shamatha (calm-abiding) meditation, with helpful instruction by senior Nalandabodhi Vancouver practitioners (Karunikas). This one-day retreat will include sitting and walking practice, with breaks for tea and lunch – all in silence.
A full day of calm-abiding meditation has many benefits. You can deepen your meditation practice and develop your capacity to benefit yourself and others.
Tea and snacks will be provided for breaks. Please bring your own lunch.
BTW: It’s fine to attend part of the day. No need to pre-register — please just drop in.
Feel free to pass this message along to interested others.
