About the Paramitas
In the path of Mahayana Buddhism, the heart of awakening is nurtured and expressed through practicing the Six Paramitas: Generosity, Ethical Discipline, Patience, Joyful Diligence, Meditative Concentration, and Wisdom / Prajna. Practicing the six paramitas is essential to transcending confusion and can “take us beyond the experiences of ordinary concepts … and beyond duality to the experience of the genuine state,” says Ponlop Rinpoche.
